Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel
I just got my advanced Christmas present, a wide angle lens (10-20mm) and I love it, there’s another photo present coming but… need batteries to use it. So I went out into Paris to try the lens today at 2° celcius (that’s pretty cold).
For landscapes I just love the wide angle and the effects it gives, when correctly used are awesome.
This is the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel which is a smaller Arc de Triomphe, located just in front of the Louvre in fact I think it is right above the inverted pyramid. The photo has quite a lot going on, with the Eiffel Tower on the left and the ferris wheel on the right, but I think it’s pretty cool.
It is an HDR photo that I retouched in Lightroom and Photoshop, as the HDR process didn’t do a totally good job (ok maybe it’s just that I don’t know the settings) I manually did some mixing of the under-exposed image. And then I played with the color a bit.
Details: Aperture: f/5.6 – Exposure: 4 sec - Focal lengths: 16mm - Iso: 100
